Janoski's Pumpkin Fest

Last week, Jason and I took Easton to his first ever Pumpkin Fest. He loved it! He was a bit tired and took things a little seriously at first. But, he came around. It was an absolutely awesome family day. I loved every minute of it!

Easton's First Pony Ride. He did very well and seemed to really like it. He kept saying horse over and over again, while riding.

He thought that he was waiting in line to do the painting at first. He quickly scooped up her paint brush. Then he got the idea. This girl was quick. About 20 seconds and she was done! He didn't quite grasp the idea that there was a spider painted on his face, but he seemed excited about all the painting.

He tried with all his might to pick up the big pumpkins. Once he found the little pumpkins, he gathered them all up. He picked out a small warty one to take home.

The big cheese. You gotta love it.

Presque Isle

Monday morning we decided to go for a bike ride in the area. Jason casually mentioned that we should go up to Presque Isle sometime. What better time to go then the present time?! We packed up when we got home and went to Presque Isle for a couple days. We took a couple really great bike rides and then played at the beach. Easton loved the water. He is definitely a cautious little boy. He wasn't too sure about the waves at first, but then he loved it! We had the BEST family mini-vacation!
Smile!

See how big I am getting!

Our little pig pen and his big cheese.

Bubbles! are Easton's favorite!

Hanging out at Misery Bay.

Easton loved playing in the tent. Anytime he heard the zipper, he made a bee line to the door.

Look what Daddy found.

Playing in the sand.

Whhheeeeeeee!

Cooking and Animals

Easton is apparently following in Jason's footsteps in his culinary skill. Tonight during dinner, he mixed his yogurt with beans, threw in a strawberry and then shook his water into the mix.

We have been going to Living Treasure, about an hour north. Easton loves it! It's like a petting zoo on steroids. He can pet and feed almost everything (that is not apparently dangerous). Look at our sweaty boy.

Watch the fingers!

Look at this! He's silly.

A litte update...

Easton continues to be really into his books. His newest thing is to sit on his block container and read his books. His favorite book is the "turtle book". Which is the one in the picture. It really isn't all that interesting if you ask me, but he loves it. And he can say "turtle" very well.

My little angel.

I love this face.

We bought Easton a water table. He loves it. Not only is it quick to set up, it's really easy to take care of. Which, most days beats setting up the kiddie pool.

Today, my lovely friend Craig, helped me make three gates and a portion of railing for the deck. My plan for a kid containment system is complete! It's fabulous. Now Easton can play with his water table on the porch and I can relax and not worry about him falling off the deck or running in the neighbors yard. Thanks Craig!

"I Hunt For Hugs"

We went for a family hike yesterday at Raccoon. I think Jason is secretly trying to get himself in shape for Elk hunting by toting Easton up and down hills on his back. In any event, we hiked at least 4 miles yesterday. About 3 in the woods and 2 on the road. It was a very good work-out and great quality family time. Easton wasn't quite as excited to be riding in the backpack as he was last year, but he did well. I think he's going to be a mountain man, just like his Daddy.

Check out Easton's hat. It says "I Hunt For Hugs." Easton loves to wear his hats and we never have to fight him to put or keep them on. He looks like such a little boy in his hat!

Say Cheese!

The other day I was giving Easton cheese for lunch and he kept putting his hands up to his cheeks every time I said cheese. This morning I said, "Say Cheese." He smiled, but is also attempting to grab his cheeks. How sweet!

I got this bathing suit for Easton and put it on him to make sure it fit. He looks like a little jet skier.

New Lens

I got a new wide-angle lens and decided to try it out on Easton. The lens will be good for shoots where objects aren't moving so fast (so please excuse the blurriness). And you will also have to excuse the snots. Easton and I are both getting over a cold. He is an excellent nose blower, but still leaves a little behind. I take what I can get!

Dad's Boots

The most adorable thing I have seen in a long time.

A video for your viewing pleasure. Be sure to note the intermittent whining. Whining has become a regular part of our life. I can't wait until Easton can talk instead of whine.

Yogurt and Tub

So I thought it was about time that Easton try to feed himself his yogurt. He actually did very well. It was just adorable to see him with such a messy face since he is normally so clean when he eats.

No bath is complete without a mohawk! Easton LOVES getting a bath. All you have to do is whisper "bath time" and he goes running back to the bathroom and proceeds to bang and cry until he gets let in.

Winter

I just thought that Easton was cute as could be this morning looking out the window in his overalls. He got a kick out of looking at himself in my camera after I took the picture. He amazes me everyday. He is learning so fast and can do new "tricks" all the time. Enjoy the morning winter pictures!

1st Haircut

Yeah, yeah, I know. It's been a long while since I have updated the blog. The usual excuses are in order. Life happens!

Easton has been doing very well. He's a great little walker now and sometimes gets up to a little run. He's finally taking better naps, which makes for very happy parents. Not to mention, he sleeps through the night! That was a big accomplishment for us. He's eating normal table food and we are happy to report that he can take cow's milk now without getting sick. He's desperately trying to say new words. He knows the meaning of a ton of words, it's just saying them that he still has to catch on to.

I wanted to post these pictures of his first haircut. His hair wasn't globally getting long, it was just a few strands that would come down into his eyes. He did very well as Jason held him. I made it quick, but I think it turned out pretty well. He looks like such a little boy!
